Central Coast Regional Planning Info Centre community experience design for NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
To design interactive environmental graphics that promotes curiosity about the work that is being done as part of the Central Coast Regional Plan 2036.
Part of the considerations was to create a design that was ‘a departure from government’. We created an exhibition style design with playful interactions to encourage the community to discover and see how the Central Coast is ‘evolving’.
The info centre has resulted in people engaging with the flip cards giving the community opportunity to provide feedback and use the maps to help make submissions on the $42m Gosford Centre Revitalisation project. Feedback in direct relation to the actual centre itself being there is positive and people like the initiative as a whole concept. There also is positive feedback from the Coordinator General and staff from head office in Sydney.
